Natural gas rates, Savannah, Augusta, Macon and the Rest of Georgia, October 2026
The six Atlanta Gas Light pool groups outside the metro. You choose a marketer exactly as metro households do, but the plans marketers restrict to metro Atlanta are not sold to you.
The cheapest standard 12-month fixed plan available here this month is Fuel Georgia at $1,069 a year estimated, from 9 plans you can buy. That is the same marketer as the statewide cheapest, so the restriction costs nothing at the top of the table this month, though it narrows the choice below it.

- * True Natural Gas charges the high end of its filed range at sign-up. True Rewards does not reduce that charge. It is a per-therm loyalty discount for active residential customers: $0.01 off per therm after 12 consecutive months of on-time payments and uninterrupted service, then another $0.01 per therm for each further 12 months in good standing, up to $0.05 per therm on a fixed-rate plan. The discount is forfeited if service is cut off for non-pay or the customer switches marketers. It is offered only with no more than two delinquencies, no broken payment arrangement, and no returned checks. An account-number change for a move or location correction, and seasonal service, do not end eligibility. The marketer may change or end the program. The discount has no cash value, is not transferable, and cannot be accelerated or changed in exchange for payment. True Natural Gas program terms. The PSC chart note now describes True Rewards as a per-therm rate reduction for each year of continuous service once eligibility has been met; no service-charge reduction is applied to the cost shown here.
- * Gas South charges the low end of its filed range at sign-up; the charge may be the high end based on credit assessment, location or payment history, per the PSC chart note.
- * Georgia Natural Gas charges the low end of its filed range at sign-up; the charge may be the high end based on credit criteria or payment history, per the PSC chart note.
The 1 standard 12-month plan missing from that table (Walton EMC Natural Gas) is filed this month but sold only in the metro groups. Across all plan types that is 5 of 125 filed plans.

Pool group mapping compiled by adPharos from Atlanta Gas Light materials, 2026-09-18. AGL publishes no current boundary map, so unlike every rate on this page, that one mapping is ours rather than a public filing you can check. Rates are as filed with the Georgia PSC. The Georgia Public Service Commission does not rank or endorse marketers.

All guides- Pool groups and availability
Atlanta Gas Light's system is split into nine geographic pool groups, and marketers restrict some of their best plans to the Atlanta ones. Here is how to tell whether a rate is open to you.
- How to switch marketer
What switching gas marketer in Georgia actually involves: the 19th-of-the-month deadline, what it costs to leave a contract early, and what does not change at your house.
- Which plan type to choose
The six kinds of natural gas plan a Georgia marketer can sell you, what each one actually commits you to, and who each is genuinely for.
